Acne Treatment
Acne is a disorder of the skin's sebaceous glands that results in plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions. One of the most common skin diseases, over 80% of the population aged 14-30 will suffer from it and 25% of these will have permanent scars. Though commonly considered as a teenager problem, 20% of all adults suffer from varying degrees of active acne. Aggravation of acne may occur with menstrual periods, birth control pills, use of oil-based products and stress.
"There is no single disease which causes more psychic trauma, more general insecurity and feels of inferiority than does acne."

Acne occurs when the oil produced by the sebaceous glands does not reach the surface of the skin and is trapped in the clogged pores. Bacteria thrive in these clogged pores and pus leaks into the surrounding tissues causing pimples to form.
Each year, approximately 5 billion dollars is spent on acne treatment, most of it on medication. Many of these medications, ranging from over-the-counter to prescription, are expensive and may cause side effects. They require months of continuous treatment, and many patients see only limited improvement or no improvement at all.

Now fighting inflammatory acne is no longer a losing battle. SpectraClearTM, a new generation of acne treatment systems using the unique LHE (Light and Heat Energy) technology, destroys the acne bacteria, reduces inflammation, and opens the clogged pores. A series of eight treatments over a four week period is all it takes to get back on the road to dramatically clearer, smoother, acne-free skin. Each treatment is simple and takes just ten minutes.
There are no adverse side effects, patient downtime, or exposure to antibiotics.
