This active 57-year-old male presented to Dr. Kass only because his wife insisted that she was no longer willing to be in the car when he was driving. She had noticed that he no longer seemed to see the cars to the sides of him while driving. He requested surgery on his “loose skin” to help him see better.
Dr. Kass said that he would be happy to do his upper eyelids but the deep lines on his forehead imparted an angry, mean appearance and they could be softened with a forehead lift. By using an endoscopic technique, only tiny incisions on the scalp would be necessary and these would heal beautifully even on men with little hair as in this patient. The patient had the surgery on his the upper eyelids covered by his insurance, and then elected to have an endoscopic forehead lift and his lower eyelids done at the same time. As promised, the incisions were practically imperceptible, and the patient (and his wife) were ecstatic both with his improved vision and with his softer and more natural appearance.

But she also said that she was unhappy with the bags under her eyes and the deep grooves in her forehead. In one operative setting, she underwent bilateral ptosis repair of the upper eyelids, (covered by her insurance), as well as upper and lower eyelid lifts, and endoscopic forehead (eyebrow) lift procedures. She was amazed and delighted with her results.

After discussing his options with Dr. Kass, he elected to proceed with bilateral ptosis repair of his upper lids, combined with upper and lower eyelid lifts, and endoscopic forehead (eyebrow) lift procedures. Despite his male pattern baldness, the tiny incisions in his forehead healed perfectly and truly could not be seen. He was amazed by how much better he could see! And about how much better he felt about himself after his surgery.

Previously, he had had a hair transplant and was most concerned if surgery could interfere with the results he had attained. He had also had upper and lower eyelid lifts (blepharoplasties), and he received Restylane and Botox injections.
After being reassured about his hair transplant, he elected to proceed with an endoscopic forehead lift and bilateral cosmetic upper and lower eyelid surgeries. The patient noted a tremendous improvement in the lines on his forehead and in those on the upper and lower eyelids. While Dr. Kass still sees him on occasion for Botox, the frequency of these visits and the amount of Botox that he needs are a fraction of what he needed before. As promised, he had no problems at all from the tiny inciions near the areas previously treated with hair transplants. He stated that he was very happy with the healing of his incisions and, best of all, with his overall excellent results. Without a doubt, he said, he would do it all over again if it became necessary. But that he would only trust Dr. Kass to do any future facial surgery because of the excellent results achieved.

This 75-year-old male with history of dry eye syndrome requested upper eyelid ptosis repair (because he noticed a drop in his peripheral vision), and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Because he was so symptomatic from his dry eyes, Dr. Kass elected to elevate his lower eyelids at the same time that he lifted the upper eyelids (and also removed skin and fat to enhance appearance). The result? His palpebral aperture measurement (how far open his eye was) remained exactly the same as before surgery and the patient noticed no change in the dryness of his eyes. But not only did he now notice remarkable improvement in his peripheral vision, he also was extremely happy with the cosmetic appearance of his eyes.

After Dr. Kass fixed this problem for her, she returned for bilateral ptosis repair of the upper eyelids, and cosmetic upper and lower eyelid lifts. Since then, she has returned to Dr. Kass for a face lift and a neck lift with suture platysmaplasty. Next, she is considering a brow lift. She returns twice yearly for Juvederm and Botox as needed.

This 65-year-old woman complained that her eyes felt extremely heavy while reading. She underwent bilateral ptosis repair of her upper eyelids, and cosmetic upper and lower eyelids lifts (not apparent in these photos, she also had face and neck lifts and a Hetter resurfacing peel all at the same time). The patient stated that she would do this surgery again in a heartbeat! She stated that it took 20 years off of her appearance. And she was right!

This 45-year-old woman presented because of sagging eyelids and her sagging neck. She had a very “high powered” job and it was almost impossible for her to take off from work. She had upper and lower eyelid lifts and a Weekend Lift procedure. Dr. Kass saw her only one time after surgery and both he and she thought her results were fabulous. At just one week, she had a markedly improved jaw line and neck, and her eyes appeared much more youthful and free of lines and wrinkles. At the one week visit, the patient said that she was absolutely thrilled with her results and that no further follow-up appointments were necessary!

This 71-year-old woman came to me complaining of her droopy upper eyelids (Ptosis). Once she realized how much more could be done to improve her appearance, she underwent medically necessary Ptosis repair of both upper eyelids, upper and lower cosmetic eyelid procedures, endoscopic forehead and midface (cheek) lifts, facelift, neck lift with suture suspension platysmaplasty, and facial resurfacing with the Hetter chemical peel procedure. She was thrilled!

This is a 71-year-old man who is working as a business consultant. He believes that his “tired” appearance may be hurting him as he loses clients to more youthful-looking competitors. He does not mind looking his age and he is not trying to look like a movie star. He wants to look more vigorous and less tired.
He was so grateful that the first person he referred to Dr. Kass after his recovery was his wife!
